Eat lighter, become conscious of what you feed your body

By Rippan Sandhu

It's best to eat clean, whole foods that are as close to nature as possible, and try to eat light and easy to digest foods during spring, waiting at least 3 hours between meals.

Kapha producing foods like dairy products, iced cold drinks or fried and oily food should be avoided if you want to feel and look your best during the spring months.

Try our recipe for Detox tea
This improves digestion and gradually clears skin.

This tea helps in having a regular morning bowel movement and flushed out toxins. According to Ayurveda, 80% of our immune system is in the gut. Have this first thing before your breakfast, you will be amazed at how energetic you will feel.

Ingredients
1 cup of water (boil on stove instead of microwaving)
⅛ tsp fresh grated ginger
½ fresh squeezed lemon
½ tsp powdered fennel
1 tbsp Honey, organic (add afterwards--natural, unpasteurized is best)

Instructions
Boil the cup of water in a teapot along with the ginger and lemon
Add ½ teaspoon powered fennel.
Stir well Pour into a cup and enjoy.
Add the honey afterwards to a warm cup. Don't boil or cook the honey

Notes: For allergies, drink this 1-3 times per day.
You can make a larger batch and store it in a thermos, so that you may drink it throughout the day.

Take care,
Rippan and the Ayurda team.
